Boys will be boys
Man...having two boys is a hard thing. They fight, they laugh, they scream, they play, they get hurt, they hug, they are stubborn, they are loving. I never expected life to be this...ummmm...eventful with two boys but alas, it is indeed. I love when they get along and I hear laughter echo throughout the house. I hate when they fight and I hear screams as I try to lay Samantha down for a nap. Sigh. I love and adore them but man, at the end of the day, I can't wait for my head to hit the pillow.

A few photos...

Road Trip
Needing to get out of the house, we packed up the Odyssey this past weekend to go explore our surrounding areas. We headed south and over to A1A. We are a little more familiar with how to get to the beach, where the mall is, where the rich folk live and how to find incredibly beautiful ocean water.

We didn't realize how different the water color would be down here until we were driving along and got a quick glimpse of the water from Beach Road. I wasn't able to get a photo of it because a storm rolled in but let me say that the water was a mix of jewel-toned blues and greens. Incredible.

We went over to Hobe Sound and Jupiter Island...holy wow. The homes there are amazing. Right on the beach and worth MILLIONS. There is a photo of one of the homes below. The image doesn't give it justice to it's size or fabulousness.

Anyway, here are some photos of our quick trip:

A few images of Samantha. She's quite a little chunker with more growing to do!!

Her favorite place in the world to be is sleeping on Daddy.

Visiting
My parents came over for a visit today. It was so nice seeing them. Few images of today...

Be Still My Heart
Samantha gave her first real smile yesterday and she's been smiling at us quite a bit this morning. What a feeling that smile sends to the heart. It's unexplainable, isn't it? I think we, as parents, crave that smile. Almost as if it's a sign that yes, we are doing ok. :)

Things are settling down here thankfully. We have been getting the house cleaned up and in order. The pool has been used and the kids love it. We're starting to explore our area. Kids have applied for their school choices. If we stay here next year (we are hoping to get transferred back up to Orlando with this job but that's a long shot right now), we already know the 2 neighborhoods we'd like to live in. It's all starting to come back together. I've even had a few people contact me regarding photography here already. Sweet!!

Here are some photos to enjoy:

More to come of everyone later...

Light
{light}

Unfortunately, I haven't taken as many images as I'd like but here's one to celebrate Samantha being 4 weeks old!

My goal is to start taking daily images. I won't necessarily post them all but at least I will have a documentary of our lives...

Missing you
We have been here for less than a week, not quite settled into our house yet but I'm missing our old life something fierce. I miss the familiar surroundings. I miss the security. I miss knowing exactly where I'm going and how long it's going to take. I miss my parents being so close. I miss the news channels. I miss Laurie. I miss Kelly. I miss the drive to our children's schools. I miss the Super Target. I miss the lake view. I miss it all. I'm lonely here. Very sad.

Sorry to be such a downer. Just telling it like it is. I miss it all...tremendously.
